GAO report

GAO: $1.17 Trillion in Federal Awards Linked to Severe, Persistent Audit Findings

A April 2024 GAO review of Federal Audit Clearinghouse data found that of the $6.97 trillion in award funds spent from 2017–2021, $1.17 trillion was tied to findings that were both severe and recurring — and that FAC currently cannot identify recipients who should have submitted a single audit but did not.

Micro-Purchase and Simplified Acquisition Thresholds Rise Under 2 CFR 200.320

Effective October 1, 2025, the micro-purchase threshold increases from $10,000 to $15,000 and the simplified acquisition threshold from $250,000 to $350,000. Procurement under the new thresholds needs no competitive quotes below $15,000 — confirm which of your active awards the change applies to.
